Oh, We Forgot To Tell You This…

In one of our previous posts, we mentioned some of the differences between home color and salon color. We admitted that we were biased against home color because it’s so hard on your hair.

Not to mention that it is a nightmare trying to correct it without further damaging your hair! What we didn’t tell you was this. You must be a bit of a detective when going the route of box color.

Because it is made to appeal to a broad range of people, you must know if your hair is very porous. Porous hair soaks up color more quickly and can leave your hair darker, as a result.

If you are lightening your hair, don’t try to go too light or you will end up with brassy or orange colored hair. Ouch!

Yes, we know it’s cheaper except when it all goes wrong and you have to pay us more to fix it. And yes, it’s just box color, but really…is it worth it?
